Stanford University released the list of the World’s Top 2% most important scientists in the updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators.
A new list has been updated and issued by Stanford University [1], on the 10th October, 2022. This list of World’s top 2% of scientists, across all fields, is based on bibliometric data from the Scopus database, widely regarded as the most renowned of its kind.
Eight researchers affiliated with the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje have been ranked on those lists, for 2021 year and for whole career.

- Prof. Dr. Marjan Gusev,

- Prof. Dr. Biljana Stojkoska.
- Four professors, researchers from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, among the World's top 2% scientists, for whole career:

- Prof. Dr. Trajce Stafilov,
- Prof. Dr. Ivan Grozdanov.
Those career-long database and single-year dataset considered 195,605 scientists and 200,409 scientists, respectively from 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. The selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% above in the sub-field.
Calculations were performed using all Scopus author profiles as of September 1, 2022.
The database of top-cited scientists provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
